    • Lenora Elizabeth (Tinker) Tilton, 84 of Chambersburg, PA (formerly of York County) passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord on September 5, 2008. Born September 21, 1923 in Philadelphia. PA, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Bertha Tinker. During WWII Nora (as she was known) was employed by General Electric where she wired panels for airplanes. She also served in volunteer capacities with the Lower Chanceford Community Building Auxiliary. She also volunteered in Penn Hall at Menno Haven Retirement Community in the gift shop and Chapel. Her favorite hobbies included golf, Bingo, macrame, and a variety of other crafts. She leaves to treasure her memory a husband of 65 years, William E. Tilton Sr.; three sons, William E. Tilton Jr. and his wife Dianna of Aberdeen, MD, Gary S. Tilton and his wife Sandy of Red Lion, PA, and Dennis C. Tilton and his wife Peggy of Dover, PA; three sisters Evelyn Egee of Chambersburg, PA, Hazel Guimond of Pensacola, FL. and Doris Carter of North Wales, PA; one brother William Tinker of Honey Brook, PA; ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret (Peggy) Brown Evans and one granddaughter, Amy Lynn Tilton. Nora was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be deeply missed for her kind and gentle spirit A memorial services will be held on Sunday September 21, 2008 at1:30 pm in the Chapel at Penn Hall in Chambersburg, PA. The Chaplain Ray M. Geigley will be officiating at the service. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Chapel Fund-Penn Hall of Menno Haven 1425 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Arrangements are entrusted to Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, of Chambersburg, PA.
