    • Barbara Jean Osborne went to dance with her Savior at 1:09 pm Friday, May 4, 2018.  She was a beautiful 80 years old, born August 5, 1937, in Highland Park, Michigan.  Barbara was the beloved daughter of the late Fremont Nelson and Martha Lillian (List) Stillwagon.  She was the cherished wife of Donald W. Osborne, surviving, for nearly 59 years (August 28, 1959).  Barbara worked joyfully as a school superintendent secretary for 20 years.  She served a few schools including Sibley, Memorial, and Downing Schools in Riverview, Michigan.  She was a long time member of First Landmark Baptist Church in Kokomo.  Barbara loved Jesus, wanted others to know Him and follow Him and was a mighty prayer warrior.  Growing up, Barbara was a talented roller skater and was the May Festival Queen for her high school.  She loved to play board games, cards, and checkers with her family.  Her passions included listening to and singing Gospel music, playing the piano, especially teaching her grandchildren to play the piano, and loving people.  She could make a friend anywhere.  Barbara was a full time mom who loved to spend every minute she could with her two girls and three grandchildren.  She enjoyed watching funny old movies with her husband and was an avid fan of women?s college basketball and the NFL (Peyton Manning was her favorite).  She loved to cheer on her grandson, Zane, during his baseball games and her granddaughter, Mina, during her gymnastics meets, and was always the first to offer her grandson Jabin her lap and bubble gum on his daily visits.  Barbara loved hugs from her grandchildren, donuts, her daughter Jody?s chocolate chip muffins and her daughter Jenny?s birthday cakes.  She was deeply proud of and greatly loved her son-in-laws, Jason and Scott.  She is the unofficial champion for making the best fried chicken.  Along with her husband Donald, Barbara is also survived by her fiercely loyal daughters, Jody (Jason) Gerlach, and Jenny (Scott) Runkel; beautiful grandchildren, Jabin Malachi Gerlach, Zane Osborne Runkel, and Mina Lynn Runkel; loved sister, Vonnie Jones, along with several precious nieces and nephews.  Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Freddie Stillwagon; and her sister, Peggy McGill.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, May 11, 2018, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, with Pastor Bob Morphew officiating.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4-7 pm Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Barbara?s memory to First Landmark Baptist Church or Biglife Ministries (www.big.life).  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.stoutandson.com [1]
