- YOE Alma L. (Schnetzka) Young, 82, entered into rest after a lengthy illness at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 10, 2009, at her residence. She was born in Red Lion, on July 18, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Beulah M. (Downs) Schnetzka. She worked as a machine operator at the former Olin Flinchbaugh and retired in 1989. She attended Lighthouse Fellowship in Red Lion and was a member of AARP and Monthly Card Club. Surviving are a son, Stacey L. Young of Wrightsville; a brother, Richard C. Schnetzka of York and wife, Doris; three sisters, Doris E. Blouse of York, Phyllis J. Tarbert of York and husband, Gary, and Shirley I. Rubenstein of Dallastown and husband, Ray; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline M. King. Viewings will be Monday, December 14, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. The service will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. John O. Delozier, of Lighthouse Fellowship in Red Lion, officiating. Burial will be at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to York County Blind Center, 1380 Spahn Ave., York, PA 17403. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with all of her friends. She touched so many people and will be sadly missed by everyone.
